As a means to achieve the Better Buildings Initiative’s goal of making commercial and industrial buildings 20% more energy efficient over the next 10 years, the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) and DOE have collaborated with industry stakeholders to develop voluntary national guidelines for improving the quality and consistency of commercial building workforce credentials for key energy-related jobs.
