WASHINGTON, D.C. – Next week, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry will travel to Belgium, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia for a series of events with government officials and industry leaders to discuss energy issues.

On Sunday, October 20, the Secretary will arrive in Brussels, Belgium where he will deliver the keynote remarks at the U.S.-EU Energy Council High-Level Forum on Small Modular Reactors (SMR) on Monday, which will be hosted by the Department of Energy (DOE) and the European Commission. The Secretary will discuss the benefits of SMRs and the role they will play in revolutionizing the nuclear energy market.

Next, the Secretary will deliver the keynote speech at the FIRST Global Robotics in Dubai, UAE. Secretary Perry participated in the previous FIRST Global Robotics in Mexico City where he met with the U.S. and Mexico teams and expressed his strong support for STEM education.

Finally, the Secretary will travel to Saudi Arabia to deliver the keynote speech at the Future Investment Initiative Conference. The Secretary will discuss the world-changing power of America’s energy revolution. He will also visit other sites in the country and engage with both energy and government stakeholders.
