Attached is a Memorandum issued by the Deputy Secretary on August 2, 2013, highlighting requirements for complying with Department of Energy (DOE) Order (O) 442.2, Differing Professional Opinions for Technical Issues Involving Environmental, Safety, and Health Technical Concerns, dated July 29, 2011. This Order requires that all DOE employees (including contractors and subcontractors) be notified quarterly of the Differing Professional Opinion (DPO) process to ensure that they are made aware of the process, including the DPO Web page address and the contact information for submitting DPOs.
