Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Environment

The Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Environment provides legal review, support, and advice to DOE with regard to environmental protection and compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other applicable environmental protection laws, regulations, and other requirements. In addition, the office provides legal guidance and support on matters of nuclear and non-nuclear public and worker safety and health relating to the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act and the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board.
