Westinghouse Lighting: Order (2010-CE-09/1001)

December 9, 2010

DOE ordered Westinghouse Lighting Corporation to pay a $50,000 civil penalty after finding Westinghouse Lighting had failed to certify that certain models of general service flourescent and incandescent reflector lamps comply with the applicable energy conservation standards.  DOE also found that Westinghouse Lighting had manufactured and distributed noncompliant products in commerce in the U.S. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Westinghouse Lighting.
