The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program presented its annual awards at the 2014 DOE Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation Meeting on June 17. Each year, the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program presents "Program Area Awards" to recognize exceptional achievements in specific areas. The Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program also presented "Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program Awards" that represent accomplishments beyond a single program area. The 2014 award recipients are:
