Matthew Ringer is a laboratory program manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

He has worked at NREL for more than 11 years. In his current role, Matt oversees the Lab-Corps Program, SBV CAP, and the Energy Innovation Portal. Additionally, he works with EERE on various commercialization initiatives, assists companies interested in commercializing NREL IP, and improving many of NREL’s business development processes.   

Prior to working in the Innovation, Partnering and Outreach Directorate, Matt was a senior chemical engineer in both the Biomass and Hydrogen programs at NREL. On the biomass side, Matt's primary focus was economic and developed a model for determining the costs of transporting and delivering hydrogen to fuel cell vehicles. 

Matt has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
