Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization

OSDBU Strategic Objectives

The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) maximizes contract opportunities for small businesses while advancing the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) mission. OSDBU expands support for small businesses, including the U.S. Small Business Administration's four socio-economic categories: Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Historically Underutilized Business Zone Small Business (HUBZone).

2025 DOE Small Business Forum & Expo Cancelation

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has canceled the 2025 DOE Small Business Forum & Expo, originally scheduled for June 25-26, 2025, in Chicago, IL. Instead of hosting a large in-person event, we are shifting to new hybrid and virtual initiatives that will provide broader and more flexible opportunities for small businesses to engage with DOE.
