DOE To Hold Press Briefing Call On Plastics Innovation Challenge

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, at 2:15PM Eastern, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, Under Secretary of Energy Mark W. Menezes, and Deputy Assistant Secretary Alex Fitzsimmons will hold a press briefing call to announce the launch of the Plastics Innovation Challenge followed by a Q&A.

The Administration will be announcing a new Innovation Challenge for new technologies to transform discarded plastic from a waste to a resource, in an effort to tackle the growing global challenge of plastic waste and position the U.S. as a world leader in advanced plastic recycling technologies.
