U.S. Offshore Wind Standards Webinar

You are here

September 26, 2017 11:00AM to 12:00PM EDT

In preparation for the development of large-scale offshore wind energy projects, the U.S. industry is developing consensus guideline and standards to reduce uncertainty and ensure orderly deployment. Nationally focused standards and guidelines must account for the United States' unique offshore conditions on the outer continental shelf and state waterways, as well as provide reasonable requirements for commercial offshore development.

In this webinar, Walt Musial, a Principal Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, will discuss the new National standards initiative, led by a collaboration between the Department of Energy, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, the Business Network for Offshore Wind, and the American Wind Energy Association.
