Federal Building Energy Use Benchmarking Guidance 2014
The Department of Energy has issued a Green Buildings Certification System final rule that requrires verifid energy and water performance for new and retrofitted federal buildings that are certified by private sector green building certification systems. This report designates the Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager as the sole benchmarking tool for federal agencies.
Argonne GREET Model
The Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Transportation Model (GREET) is a full life-cycle model that evaluates energy and emission impacts of advanced and new transportation fuels, the fuel cycle from well to wheel and the vehicle cycle through material recovery and vehicle disposal need to be considered. The model also includes water consumptions for the major pathways as an additional life-cycle analysis metric
Energy-Positive Water Resource Recovery Workshop Report
This report captures the proceedings of the Energy-Positive Water Resource Recovery (EPWRR) Workshop hosted jointly by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Science Foundation (NSF) on April 28–29, 2015. The workshop gathered stakeholders from industry, academia, national laboratories, and government to discuss barriers to the development and deployment of the water resource recovery facilities of the future.
