Residential customers of Cape Light Compact, National Grid, NSTAR, Unitil and Western Massachusetts Electric Company may be eligible for zero-interest financing to help increase the energy efficiency of their homes homes through the Mass Save HEAT Loan Program. This financing is available to all residential customers who own and reside in a one to four family residence, obtain a Home Energy Assessment through the Mass Save Program and install the recommended energy efficiency improvements.

The loans are available up to $25,000 (depending on utility) with terms up to 7 years. Energy efficiency improvements eligible for the HEAT Loan include:
* Attic, wall and basement insulation
* High-efficiency heating systems
* High-efficiency domestic hot water systems
* Solar hot water systems
* Energy Star windows
* Energy Star thermostats

After all work financed with the HEAT Loan is complete, customers must notify their Mass Save vendor to schedule a verification inspection. More information, including a list of participating lenders, is available through Mass Save web site.
