The Loess Hills Development and Conservation Authority, the Loess Hills Alliance, and the Southern Iowa Development and Conservation Authority are regional organizations with representatives from the municipal and nonprofit sectors and elected from the community. The organizations are tasked with providing development and technical assistance to landowners, counties, municipalities; sponsoring research; and promoting conservation in the Loess Hills region in Southern Iowa. The organizations also aim to develop and coordinate plans for projects related to the unique natural resources, rural development, and infrastructure problems of their respective regions.
