Jasper County REMC offers rebates to residential customers for improving the energy efficiency of homes which participate in this program. Rebates are available for the purchase of efficient clothes washers and the recycling of old refrigerators, while water heater replacements are free to customers whose older units are unrepairable. Additionally, 80 gallon water heaters are available for a reduced fee of $250. Customers who participate in refrigerator recycling must schedule a pick-up time for their old unit and comply with equipment requirements. Recycled units must also be in working condition. Clothes washers must be Energy Star-qualified and meet all purchase and installation requirements.
