Hutchinson Utilities Commission (HUC) offers rebates to commercial customers in Hutchinson who perform energy conservation improvements to their businesses. These rebates are limited to one application and no more than $2,000, or 25% of project total for each commercial service address. Rebates are available for a variety of energy efficient equipment including lighting; HVAC and cooling technologies; motors, pumps, and variable frequency drives; and refrigeration and restaurant equipment. The Prescriptive Rebate Program list has details on equipment type, size, and rebate amounts. Applications must include an original itemized sales receipt and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Special equipment upgrades not listed on the program website and projects that require rebates above $2,000 may be eligible for custom rebates on a case-by-case basis.

Commercial Refrigerators/Freezers: must be Energy Star
Lighting, Natural Gas Furnaces, Central Air Conditioners, Gas Water Heaters, Heat Pumps, Motors, and VFDs must be installed by a licensed professional contractor.
