Great Lakes Energy offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase of efficiency air-source heat pumps or geothermal heat pumps. A rebate of $250 is available for air-source heat pumps, and a $500 rebate is available for geothermal heat pumps. View the program website listed above to view program and efficiency specifics.

Energy Optimization] program provided by the Michigan Electric Cooperative Association. Through this program, rebates exist for energy efficient appliances, lighting, HVAC equipment, and other energy saving measures. Air-Source Heat Pumps: minimum HSPF 8.2, EER 11.5, and SEER 14 (split systems); HSPF 8, EER 11, and SEER 14 (package systems)
Geothermal Heat Pumps: minimum of EER 14.1 and COP 3.3 (closed loop); EER 16.2 and COP 3.6 (open loop); EER 15 and COP 3.5 (direct expansion)
