Grays Harbor PUD's Non-Residential Rebate Program offers financial incentives to its commercial, agricultural, industrial, and institutional customers for the installation of energy efficient equipment in their facilities. The program provides rebates for any project with verifiable electric energy savings, including large HVAC, lighting, or refrigeration projects. These rebates are based solely on annual electric energy savings. Rebate amounts are calculated based upon annual kilowatt-hours saved, at the rate of $0.17/kWh, up to 70% of project cost. Eligible projects must have a simple payback analysis of one year or more (without the effect of the rebate).
The Non-Residential Rebate Program also offers prescriptive rebates for some HVAC systems and economizers; small customers can choose [http://dsireusa.org/incentives/incentive.cfm?Incentive_Code=WA119F&re=1&... rebates or loans] for some appliances. To qualify for rebates, buildings primarily heated with electric heat must include heat pumps in the retrofit. All projects (including economizer installations) must conform to current Washington State Energy Code requirements to be eligible for a rebate.
All projects must be pre-approved and a formal application must be on file prior to the start of work to qualify for the PUD rebate programs. More information regarding the rebates and the rebate application form are located on the program web site.
