Summary
Clark Public Utilities offers several energy incentives for residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of their homes. Rebates are offered for refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers, heat pumps (including ductless heat pumps), heat pump water heaters, insulation, replacement windows, duct sealing, and certified Energy Star NW Homes.

Qualifying refrigerators and clothes washers must be purchased from a participating Clark County retailer. These rebates are point-of-purchase rebates given directly at the retailer. A separate rebate is available for the proper recycling of older refrigerators and freezers that are in working condition.

The weatherization measures must be added to electrically heated homes by an approved contractor. Most weatherization rebates are worth 50% of the project cost up to a certain amount. The utility will inspect the installation after work is complete before a rebate is issued.

New electrically heated homes built to the Energy Star Northwest Homes specifications are eligible for a $1,500 rebate that will be paid to the builder.  Homes heated with gas are eligible for a $150 rebate that, once again, will be paid to the builder. For more information on these rebates and other conservation programs at Clark Public Utilities, customers should call (360) 992-3355 or visit the program website listed above.
