Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) provides incentives for technical assistance, retrofitting inefficient equipment, starting a new construction project, launching a major renovation, purchasing new equipment, or replacing equipment at the end of its lifespan. Incentives typically cover up to 50% of the total cost for retrofit projects and up to 75% of the incremental cost for new construction projects. The customer chooses their own contractor or service provider.

In addition to the rebates listed above, small business owners can upgrade existing lighting fixtures, controls, water heaters and other equipment to receive full turnkey service making energy efficiency part of a business plan, a free energy analysis, and 80 percent off the total cost for most energy efficiency lighting retrofit projects. Small businesses must use 60kW or less electricity per month to qualify.

Pre-Approval is required when rebates exceed $5000
