Nominations are now open for the nation’s highest honors for K-12 mathematics and science teachers. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, or PAEMST, have been running since 1983, honoring more than 4,200 teachers for their contributions in the classroom and to their profession.
As part of the National Science Bowl, more than 9,500 high school students take place in 70 high school regional competitions around the United States and Puerto Rico. The winners of these regions advance to the National Science Bowl competition held every April in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
