The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) presented 15 award recipients with awards at their annual Small Business Forum & Expo, held this year in Phoenix, AZ, from June 16-18, 2015. Awards were presented by DOE’s OSDBU Director, John Hale III.

In June of 2015, John Hale III, Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, served as the moderator for the Federal Contracting Town Hall Meeting during the CelebrAsian procurement conference; the largest procurement conference for Asian American businesses in the United States.
The Energy Department's Mentor-Protégé Program is designed to encourage DOE prime contractors to assist small disadvantaged businesses.
