The Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management is located in the Joe L. Evins Federal Building in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

While the Oak Ridge Office of EM’s primary mission is to clean up environmental threats, the office has many different support functions in its four divisions that are necessary to conduct these projects.

Our Procurement and Contracts Division ensures EM has the contracts in place to perform the diverse cleanup required across Oak Ridge’s three sites, and that the agency is able to evaluate contractors’ performance.

The Planning and Execution Division develops the financial plans that prioritize competing projects to reduce life-cycle costs and accelerate cleanup. Additionally, EM’s project management functions are located in this division.

The Operations and Management Division is responsible for providing critical support to the programs and projects to ensure that Oak Ridge’s EM program can accomplish its mission in a safe and technically-compliant manner. The division is supported by a highly-qualified diverse staff of subject matter experts that provide real-time oversight of the contractors' programs, systems, and operations.

Finally, the Quality and Mission Support Division is responsible for a wide range of administrative, technical, and programmatic project management services. Together, employees in this division provide expertise in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, reindustrialization, groundwater strategies, communications, and public outreach.
