On August 22, 2012, an OHA Hearing Officer issued a decision in which he determined that an Individual’s DOE security clearance should be restored. The Individual had been caught viewing pornography on a DOE workplace computer. The Individual was examined by a DOE Consultant Psychologist who diagnosed the Individual with an Impulse-Control Disorder NOS. The Individual was, however, able to show that, as a result of therapy, his Impulse-Control Disorder is in remission with a low to low-moderate chance of relapse. For these reasons, the Hearing Officer concluded that the Individual had mitigated the security concerns at the hearing.
