Ravi Gorur, OE-10 - Deputy Assistant Secretary, Power Systems Engineering Research and Development
Ravi S. Gorur is Deputy Assistant Secretary for Power Systems Engineering Research and Development in the Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability. The Power Systems Engineering Research and Development Division is responsible for the development and management of projects for “next generation” electricity delivery technologies and supporting activities to accelerate their introduction to the marketplace. Dr. Gorur is on an Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignment from Arizona State University where he is a professor and program chair in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering. He graduated with the PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada in 1986. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
