The Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE) will hold a peer review of its Cybersecurity for Energy Delivery Systems (CEDS) Program research and development projects on December 7-9, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. This event will be open to the public and will provide an opportunity to learn about the current state of technology and network with energy sector stakeholders. Over 35 projects will present the results of their work, provide lessons learned, and share best practices. A total of 21 projects will participate in the peer review process, where industry leaders will serve as reviewers and be provided time to ask questions following each presentation. The additional projects will provide information sharing presentations and/or present posters during the daily poster sessions.

All of the Department’s cybersecurity activities, including the CEDS program, align with the energy sector’s Roadmap to Achieve Energy Delivery Systems Cybersecurity which was developed by industry, facilitated by the Department of Energy, and provides a vision of resilient energy delivery control systems designed, installed, operated, and maintained to survive a cyber incident while sustaining critical functions. The Roadmap offers five strategic goals: build a culture of security, assess and monitor risk, develop and implement new protective measures to reduce risk, manage incidents, and sustain security improvements. All aspects of the CEDS program focus on enhancing the cyber resiliency of energy delivery infrastructure, including the electric grid and oil and natural gas infrastructure to reduce the risk of energy disruptions due to cyber incidents.

More information about the Peer Review, including the meeting's agenda and details about registration and accommodations, is available HERE. All attendees must pre-register. No registration will occur on the day of the event.
