The Department of Energy will hold peer reviews for the Real Time Reliability Management program and the Cybersecurity for Energy Delivery Systems (CEDS) program this summer.
Peer reviews are an opportunity for energy sector stakeholders to hear updates on ongoing and upcoming projects, provide feedback to program managers, and network with experts from industry, academia, and national laboratories.
June 12-13, 2012: Real Time Reliability Management (RTGRM)
The Transmission Reliability R&D Program will conduct a peer review of the Real Time Grid Reliability Management RTGRM is part of DOE’s Transmission Reliability R&D Program and includes projects in support of the North American Synchrophasor Initiative, Reliability Metrics/Compliance Tools, and Automated Switchable Network. Invited technical experts, DOE program managers, and other principal investigator/presenters will participate in discussions that will help determine follow-on work that should be considered for future funding. The registration for this review is closed.
July 24-26, 2012: Cybersecurity for Energy Delivery Systems (CEDS)
DOE aligns CEDS R&D efforts with the industry-led, DOE-facilitated strategic framework presented in the 2011 Roadmap to Achieve Energy Delivery Systems Cybersecurity. The peer review will include more than 20 projects, presented at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. A multi-year program planning information exchange will also be held to identify research gaps and industry needs to help determine program priorities.
