The City of Smyrna plans to use Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds to implement one program and one project to meet the stated goals of the EECBG Program. First, EECBG funds will be used for the implementation of a biodiesel production program. This self sustaining program will allow the Smyrna to produce biodiesel (B20 or B100) for use in service vehicles. This project aligns with the eligible activity, Development and Implementation of Transportation Programs. The EECBG funds will be use for all capital and start up costs of the program.
