The Department of Energy (DOE) proposes to perform limited firebreak maintenance in selected areas of the Hanford Site during calendar year 2011 using prescribed burning, disking, and/or blading. Prescribed burning will be conducted by the Hanford Fire Department and only in previously disturbed areas. Similarly, disking and blading will be conducted by the Hanford Mission Support Contractor Road Maintenance organization and only in previously disturbed areas.
