U.S. Department of Energy Under Secretary for Science to Highlight Research Efforts to Accelerate Advanced Energy Technologies for the 21st Century

WASHINGTON, DC – Tomorrow, March 14, 2008, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Under Secretary for Science Raymond Orbach will deliver remarks at the National Academies Summit on America’s Energy Future in Washington, DC.  Under Secretary Orbach is expected to highlight the Department’s innovative basic research efforts to accelerate the creation of breakthrough energy technologies for the 21st century.  This research is critical to furthering the Bush Administration’s comprehensive strategy of maintaining our competitive edge and bringing online more clean energy technologies in an effort to increase energy, economic and national security.
