Searchlight Wind Energy Project, Searchlight, NV
EPA announces the availability of the Searchlight Wind Energy Project Final EIS. The Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management, with DOE’s Western Area Power Administration as a cooperating agency, prepared this EIS to evaluate the environmental impacts of a proposal to construct and operate 156 wind turbine generators and related facilities on public lands surrounding the town of Searchlight, Nevada. The proposal includes a substation that would be operated by Western.
