EPA announces the availability of the Draft EIS for the Searchlight Wind Energy Project. The EIS evaluates the environmental impacts of a proposal to construct and operate 156 wind turbine generators and related facilities on public lands surrounding the town of Searchlight, Nevada. The proposal includes a substation that would be operated by Western.
