AltaRock's Newberry Volcano EGS Demonstration near Bend, Oregon
Based on the information presented in the Final EA, DOE has determined that providing funding to suport the proposed project (to develop and test an EGS reservoir deep undergroung, using an existing 10,060-foot geothermal well drilled by Davenport in 2008), does not constitute a major federal action that significantly affects the quality of the human environment, individually or cumulatively with other actions in the area.
