Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) proposes to install bird discouragers on a portion of the PHX-LOB 230-kV (kilovolt) transmission line. The purpose of the project is to insure the continued safe and reliable operation of the bulk power system by reducing or eliminating faults due to bird activity along the line.
