The proposed actions would involve the following closure-related actions: (1) either excavating and removing the UST, associated piping, and underlying containment systems or closure in place by filling the UST with a solid, inert material (e.g., sand); (2) segmenting and cleaning the tank; (3) sampling and analyzing the soil and/or groundwater in the tank pit and vicinity; (4) remediating the site, if required; and (5) backfilling and seeding the excavated areas.
