The U.S. DOE is proposing to provide federal funding to the City of Chicago Department of Transportation to advance its Chicago Climate Action Plan Advanced Transportation Initiative. DOE funding would be used to purchase four hybrid diesel electric trucks for the City's fleet and install 15 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at eight locations. IGO, a sub-recipient to the Chicago DOT, would use non-DOE funding to install one solar canopy to power two EV charging stations at one location.
