The U.S. DOE is proposing to provide federal funding to the Arizona Commerce Authority to conduct an Energy Reduction Challenge Grant competition to identify novel technologies that can be implemented on a pilot project basis to reduce energy consumption within the tooling and machining manufacturing process of aerospace and defense industry suppliers. Funding would be used to make up to 10 research and development pilot project sub-awards over 3 Budget Periods.
