Chevron U.S.A., a Pennsylvania corporation, with its primary place of business in San Ramon, California, filed an application with the Office of Fossil Energy (FE) on September 10, 2012, seeking authorization to export previously imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, to any county not prohibited by U.S. law or policy. The application was submitted pursuant to section 3 of the Natural Gas Act and 10 CFR part 590 of the DOE regulations. No new facilities or modification to any existing facilities at the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal are required in order for Chevron to export LNG from that facility. DOE's proposed action is to authorize this export.
