Site clearance (SC-6154) was granted to Mox Services in December 2008 to construct a 2.6-acre laydown yard east of 706-1F. Two additional site clearances (SC-6879 and SC-6879.01) recently were granted to expand the laydown yard by approximately 0.5 acre and provide additional appurtenances comprised of installation of chain link fencing, electrical conduit, and grounding rod. Additional crushed stone will be placed on top of filter fabric in the expansion areas. Fence posts will be installed to a depth of approximately three feet, electrical conduit will be trenched in at a depth of approximately 18 inches, and the grounding rod will be pushed/driven to a depth of seven to eight feet. Ground-penetrating radar will be used prior to installation of fence posts, conduit, and grounding rod.
