The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) to perform laboratory research and development activities to develop a high efficiency, supercritical C02 (sC02) turbo-expander for a transient solar power plant and to optimize novel printed circuit heat exchangers for sC02 applications for concentrated solar power (CSP)."
