The Wisconsin Energy Office is proposing to pass through $100,000 of State Energy American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds to US Venture to assist in the installation of three Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling stations. US Venture, Inc. would be leasing a portion of property from in an existing fueling station where they would install the three stations. The site is an operational gas and diesel station. The leased area is a former diesel fueling bay with an existing platform and canopy. The proposed site is on The southeast comer of County Highway B & 628th Avenue in Menomonie, WI. The site is bordered by roadways and agricultural lands operations on all sides. It is a previously disturbed area currently used as a commercial semi-trailer fueling/truck-stop station.
