In response to the University of Oregon’s small generator interconnection request, Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is planning to integrate their 11-megawatt generation project into its balancing authority (BA). The proposed point of interconnection is at the University of Oregon Substation owned by Eugene Water and Electric Board. In order to integrate the proposed generation, BPA would install and operate bi-directional metering at the University of Oregon generation site. The University of Oregon would be responsible for securing and paying for a four-wire audio telecommunication circuit (telephone company leased line) to send BPA telemetry data, as well as a publicly switched telephone network service at the project site for BPA MV-90 dial up access.
