Sandia National Laboratories/California (SNL/CA) proposes to conduct microfluidics laboratory activities in support of a collaboration with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). The Sandia/UTMB collaboration would apply cutting-edge tools developed at Sandia to realistic biological and clinical samples. These tools would be based primarily on Sandia's microfluidic technologies that provide key advantages over conventional techniques in terms of assay speed, sample/reagent volumes, automation, and cost.
