The Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University of Northern Iowa's (UNI) National Agriculture Based Lubricants Center (NABlC) for basic research, laboratory improvements (particularly the build-out of an engine test room), and hardware installation, bench-scale bio-lubricant environmental effects studies, and participation in national standard and testing committees and working groups.
