CX(s) Applied: B2.5
Location(s): Aiken, South Carolina
Office(s): Environmental Management, Savannah River Operations Office
The materials that HB-Line will be processing in the K-Area Interim Surveillance Inspection Program (KIS) DE3013 Campaign contain chlorine as an impurity. The materials in the campaign will be processed in "charges" in Phase I (Scrap Recovery Facility) of HB-Line. If a given charge of material contains less than 3000 parts per million of chlorine, it will be considered to be a "low chlorine" charge, and HB-Line will process it directly in the Phase I dissolvers. Charges containing greater than 3000 parts per million of chlorine are considered to be "high chlorine" charges and are addressed in EEC #CBU-H-2011-00013.
