The Western Area Power Administration (Western) is proposing to expand the Havre Substation approximately 150 feet to the north to accommodate a new delivery service from the newly built Herron Substation by Hill County. The expansion also converts the existing 115 kilovolt single bus into a ring bus which will improve reliability. Western is also expanding the yard to the east to accommodate the replacement of the existing control building and control boards.
