Chevron United States (U.S.) of America Incorporated (Chevron), a Pennsylvania corporation, filed an application with the Office of Fossil Energy (FE) on September 9, 2010, seeking authorization to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana to any country not prohibited by U.S. law or policy. The application was submitted pursuant to Section 3 of the Natural Gas Act and 10 CFR Part 590 of the Department of Energy's (DOE) regulations. No new facilities or modification to any existing facilities at the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal are required in order for Chevron to export LNG from that facility.
