The University of Washington proposes to use federal funds to develop a world class laboratory for the research and production of biofuels and bioproducts from feedstocks. This research is ongoing for the conversion of cellulosic biomass into fuels and therefore a need for more laboratory space is required. This project will include the design and renovation of space within Bloedel Hall on the University of Washington campus. This project will also entail the procurement and installation of necessary equipment to support research activities.
