The University of Maine at Presque Isle proposes to use federal funds to design and install an 18 kilowatt photovoltaic array on the roof of Folsom/Pullen Hall on campus. Folsom/Pullen Hall is currently used as an academic building used to support undergraduate education through the use of labs, classrooms and a major university lecture hall. Folsom/Pullen Hall was built in 1966 which dates it to less than 50 years old and therefore not eligible for listing on the National Register. This project will also include the installation of an education kiosk within the academic building for public awareness of the technology.
