The City of Louisville proposes to use Congressionally Directed federal funds to allow the City Zoo to foster collaborative partnerships to create a green demonstration project that illustrates best practices. This will also allow the Zoo to reduce its carbon footprint and provide a state of the art learning tool for visitors. This project will include the removal and installation of roofing materials, educate and collaborate with State and Local agencies as well as visitors on sustainability issues, and project management and reporting.
