The Monitor Instruments mass spectrometer is used to measure gas compositions from laboratory experiments at Aiken County Technology Laboratory. The spectrometer system consists of the mass spectrometer and several calibration gases contained in gas cylinders. Gas samples will be taken from various experimental processes and analyzed by the mass spectrometer. Excess gas flow from the mass spectrometer will be exhausted into a ventilation hood. Calibration gases used will similarly be exhausted from the mass spectrometer into the hood.
